3 Reasons a Narcissist Changes Their Identity Drastically
Their mask morphs like a chameleon's camouflage.
In my experiences being raised by narcissists and trauma bonding to them, I have found three things that suddenly change a narcissist’s identity drastically:
1) They have new supply.
When a narcissist latches on to new supply, they engage in mirroring. They lack a stable identity because their emotional development is stunted to toddler years.
And what toddlers do, and what they did with their narcissistic parent(s) for affection, is mirror the behavior, morals, and interests of adults.
Therefore, every time they meet new supply, they start changing like a chameleon.
