The One Thing a Narcissist Adores More Than Anything

They'll never let you go if you can share this one trait.

The One Thing a Narcissist Adores More Than Anything

She was his perfect dream.

She looked just like the fantasy girl in all the music videos he made: young, pale, long, black, curly hair.

She thought in terms of romantic fantasies, just like he did: she believed they were destined, that she’d loved him before this life and he’d loved her, that they’d both love each other beyond this life.

She was loyal and in love. She’d follow him anywhere. She’d even skipped tons of school to travel the world with him on tour.

She didn’t question that his lyrics often glorified murder and gore in romantic contexts: she idolized him. He was her pop culture hero.

She was as obsessed as he was: she got his name tattooed on her finger; another tattoo vowed to keep their love secret, reading, “Shhhh…”

She forgave him every time he cheated, fed his voracious sex addiction appetite.

She left voicemails apologizing to him, when she was the one who was a child, victim to a predator.

He couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect girl than her. He could have made his lifelong fantasy a reality.

He could have had it all: the girl, the fame, the money, the power, the clout, the creativity.

And then he murdered her and dismembered her body.

(He kept the finger with his name on it, a souvenir).

He gave up EVERYTHING because she violated the ONE SINGLE THING a narcissist cares about most.

People often think they understand what narcissists care about most. Power? Admiration? Money? Beauty? Winning? Sex? Evil?

Nope, those are only props in a theater.

The thing they protect with a religious devotion is…

…the only thing sacred to a profane person.

…the only thing they care about AT ALL…
