How to Explain to a Narcissist That Their Behavior is Unacceptable?

Unfortunately, narcissists know their behavior isn’t acceptable — either morally or legally — this is why they work very hard to keep it a secret.

Their abuses of you and others, along with their worst shames (of which there are likely very many you haven’t discovered), are done in private.

So, if they know enough to do it in private and to plot how to hide it or lie about it, then they know their behavior is wrong.

They don’t think that’s abnormal: they think everyone is a narcissist like them and it’s all a game to be the MOST SUPERIOR one.

They project all their most shameful behavior onto everyone else to deny it in themselves.

They very literally cannot see outside of themselves to understand the humanity or the diversity of others in any meaningful way.

And without empathy for you, they can make you into whoever and whatever they need you to be to regulate their emotions.
