When Abuse Turns to Murder: The Dallas Walmart Shooter

According to police sources and local reporting:

  • A man appeared to track down his romantic partner at the Walmart parking lot.
  • He shot his girlfriend and also shot/grazed a second adult woman who was with her or nearby (described as a female bystander/friend).
  • Witnesses described him as angry and repeatedly firing at the first woman before moving to a vehicle.
  • Both women were taken to the hospital and were reported to be stable and expected to survive.
  • The shooter was later found dead in a black Jaguar from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
  • Police have not yet released a full motive or background, and the investigation is ongoing.

So what we have is a public, targeted intimate-partner attack that ended in suicide — a pattern that tragically repeats across many U.S. domestic-violence cases.

I'm a survivor of sexual assault and attempted murder through drugging at the hands of a man with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder, colliquiolly known as a malignant narcissist or a sociopath.
